Mara Porras, CPM, RPA, CCIM, LEED AP President

Ms. Porras brings to Commercial Property Management Group, LLC over 29 years of experience in commercial property management.   As President of Commercial Property Management Group, she is responsible for supervising a staff of professionals, which includes accounting, property management, facilities and maintenance personnel to assure that the financial value of the properties are protected.

Ms Porras oversees the Property Management and Accounting team, in their day-to-day operations of the properties.   Ms. Porras is responsible for maintaining an ongoing knowledge of statutory and regulatory changes, detailed reporting systems, preparing operating budgets, vendor contact negotiations and recommendations for sound economic decisions for each property.   Ms. Porras personally oversees the daily operations of the properties from the janitorial services to the tenant improvements, making certain all activities are handled properly with professional care and incompliance with the Owners goals and objectives.    As part of her commitment to providing a full service professional approach to all of her Clients’, Ms. Porras is diligent and thorough when it comes to financial reporting, lease maintenance and lease and vendor negotiations while always minimizing the liabilities inherent in each of these aspects of property ownership.     

Prior to joining Commercial Property Management Group she was President of Prudential CRES Property Management (PCPM) for 2 years, responsible for a portfolio of over 2 million square feet.   Prior to her position at (PCPM) Ms. Porras was the Director of Property Management for Midgard Management where during her seven years tenure she was responsible for overseeing all facets of property management, construction management, financial accounting of their portfolio of 1.5 million square feet.   Previous to these positions, with the aforementioned Companies, Ms. Porras was with Coldwell Banker Commercial Brenner Real Estate Group handling a portfolio of 3 million square feet; CEO of Five Star Management and Five Star Network for 9 years and previous to that was employed in property management by Keenan Development and The Sadkin Organization.  

Ms. Porras holds the designations of Certified Property Managers (CPM), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA). She also holds the LEED AP credential and she is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson and a licensed Mortgage Broker.   She has lived in South Florida since 1969.

Ms. Porras is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the Community Associations Institute (CAI), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
